Jack Mileski is a Senior Business Development Manager and is located in the US. Mr. Mileski has over 20 years experience in business and market development in high-technology industries in a range of companies from start-ups to large enterprises. His expertise includes strategic planning, tactical market planning and program execution, sales and channel development, emerging market development, and the development of strategic partnerships and alliances. Mr. Mileski has considerable international business development expertise in Europe and the Pacific Rim. Mr. Mileski has worked for Compaq Computer Corporation, the Digital Equipment Corporation, Scientific Data Systems, and Bell Telephone Laboratories prior to his extensive experience with a host of high-technology start-up companies in software, Internet infrastructure, and professional services. He began his career as a software engineer before assuming executive positions in sales, marketing, and business development. Mr. Mileski has an MBA from Pepperdine University, Malibu, CA, and a MS/Computer Science degree from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ, and BA/Mathematics from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
Steven Johnson is a Senior Business Development Manager with Abrena US. Mr. Johnson has successfully assisted several of our clients in developing their business potential. Most recently he has enabled a Swedish company with a specialty firewall gain market acceptance in the United States. He has also succeeded in building a distribution channel for a company with advanced simulation software and is developing the strategy for a US based workflow management software company. Mr. Johnson served as President and CEO of Transcept, Inc., a telecommunications infrastructure company and he planned and executed its spinout from Lockheed Martin, developed the strategy, formed the management team and raised over US$50M in venture capital funds to support the growth of the company. Prior to this position Mr. Johnson was a Division General Manager for Lockheed Martin, and held a number of senior financial management positions at Lockheed Martin, Lockheed Corporation, Sanders Associates, Inc. and Telco Systems, Inc. Mr. Johnson has extensive international experience. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Boston University.
Jan Bjerke is a Senior Partner and founder of Abrena. Mr. Bjerke is a Norwegian citizen with residences in both Oslo, Norway and New Hampshire. Mr. Bjerke has worked in the Information and Communication Technology industry for over 30 years, with 19 years experience in the United States. Mr. Bjerke has done extensive business development and management for Norsk Data, Sim-X, NPC, Dolphin Server, Dolphin Interconnect Solutions, EPM, MRT, Scali Computers, Comuniq, and Rise Technology. Mr. Bjerke has a degree in Electronics Engineering and in Computer Science from Michigan Technological University.
Ørjan Hernes is a Senior Partner of Abrena and is located in Oslo, Norway. Mr. Hernes has 19 years experience with Information and Communication Technology businesses starting with NPC Holdings AS as Manager of IT Business Development. He later was employed as Managing Director, SkanDAK AS where he executed a complete turnaround of the firm before its acquisition by A/S EDB. As Vice President, Consulting and Business Development, EDB ASA, Mr. Hernes successfully grew the consulting division into a rapidly growing and very profitable business. In addition, he assisted the firm in soliciting additional private investment and in listing the company on the Norwegian Stock Exchange. Mr. Hernes then worked as an Independent advisor for international Internet & VC companies in the United States, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. Mr. Hernes has extensive experience as board member having served as a director of Maxware, Kongsberg Intech, Telematikksystemer AS, PRM and others. He is currently chairman of ClickBase Technologies AS, Questback AS and Cascade AS, and board member of PCTVnet ASA. Mr. Hernes holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and is recognized as a Mergers and Acquisition specialist and succeeded in buying and selling numerous companies and company divisions to Nordic Region and foreign firms.

Bruce Garland is a Senior Business Development Manager and is located in Europe (UK). Mr. Garland has over 30 years experience in business with an emphasis on “turn-around” and new business ventures. His expertise includes business and market analysis, strategic & tactical planning - with a strong results-driven motivation to provide tangible sales performance. Mr. Garland has worked for both large multi-national corporations as well as small and medium organizations, including privately owned companies. He has held executive positions in finance, sales and marketing, managing director and CEO. He is a group chairman providing a CEO mentor program for business growth and executive personal development in the UK. In addition to EMEA, he has worked extensively in North America and the Pacific Rim (including India, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, and Japan). Mr. Garland has experience working in the software, high-technology, logistics and service, and the aerospace and automotive industries.
